THIS is the moment paedophile vigilantes confronted an alleged child sex pervert and streamed it LIVE on Facebook.
The vigilantes, who call themselves The Hunted One, cornered the man in a supermarket car park and accused him of planning to meet a 14-year-old girl for sex.
The live Facebook stream showed the The Hunted One members leaving their car, spotting the target and confronting him.
One said: “Don’t move, don’t bother deleting stuff, you’re going nowhere.”
In the south London car park, and live on social media, they accused the man of sending WhatsApp messages and videos to a phone number he believed belonged to a 14-year-old girl.
The hunters claimed he had travelled to the supermarket with the intention of meeting a schoolgirl.
The video, which ends as police are called to arrest the man, had been viewed more than 200,000 times within two hours of being posted.
During the footage the accused tells the hunters: “It would have actually not happened, I was going to drive off.”
He later added: “I’ve been really, really silly.”
A paedo hunter responds “you text me where you were parked” before another vigilante reaches through the driver’s window and pulls out condoms.
The man appears uncomfortable as the hunters read extracts from messages they claim were sent to someone posing as a teenage girl.
They allege he called the girl “cute” and repeatedly said “sorry I forgot how old you were I shouldn’t be doing this” and “you’re too young for this conversation”.
They also allege he sent messages instructing the girl not to tell anyone about the conversations and to delete all their exchanges.
Hunters also said he claimed to have slept with a 16-year-old girl, something the accused said had been “bullshit”.
As the paedo hunters revealed their meeting was being live streamed the accused asked the stop, because of his children.
About 40 minutes into the confrontation police arrive on the scene.
A police spokesman said: “Police were called at around 2.35ppm on Thursday, 13 April to a report of a man planning to meet a 14-year-old child at car park in Jenner Close, Sidcup.
“There was no child for the man to meet, members of the public who had been in contact with the man over the internet, had brought him to the location.
“Officers attended and arrested a 44-year-old man on suspicion of attempting to meet a child following grooming.
“He was taken into custody at a south London police station, where he remains.”
Yesterday it was revealed another man caught by the The Hunted One vigilantes is facing jail after he tried to groom a child for sex.
A third man is serving an eight-year prison sentence after he was caught trying to meet a 12-year-old girl.
