A 34-year-old Devon and Cornwall policeman has appeared in court charged with firearm offences and possession of child abuse images.
PC Jonathan Fulcher faces three counts of making 290 indecent images of a child between June 2010 and October 2016 at Crediton, Devon.
Fulcher, of High Road, Crediton, is also accused of possessing ammunition for a firearm without a certificate last October in Crediton, which relates to two live bullets.

He is further accused of possessing a weapon for the discharge of a noxious liquid, namely pava, on the same date.
Fulcher – who was based in Exeter before he was suspended by the Devon and Cornwall force – faces a sixth allegation that in Crediton last October he attempted to cause a 13 year old child to look at an image of sexual activity for the purpose of gaining sexual gratification.
Fulcher told District Judge Stephen Nicholls that he would not 'enter a plea at this time'.
The case was sent to Exeter Crown Court for a hearing next month and Fulcher was granted conditional bail.
